City Defense

The city situated along a curve of the Vosk River provided some defense itself, those stationed along her walls had a clear line of sight up the river as far as the eye could see, visibility was also aided by the height of those walls their thickness another level of security. Along the walls evenly spaced within archers range were slight towers offering protection to those shooting from behind the raised blocks. The River entrance to the City was patrolled daily by four heavy ram class ships another twenty five stood ready to deploy on a moment notice, the patrols also consisted of seven light ram class ships for their speed alone, and like the heavy rams the small rams numbered another 50 in ready, The tarn wires over the city prevented any landings within the city Itself, the tightness of the wires also prevented any low flight within the city other than well above the height of the cities walls and towers Along with that defense the City had it's own force of 50 Tares patrolling the Cities edge and the neighboring villages. Garrisons consisted of 500 foot troops, another 200 tharlarion and Kailla troops are on ready in a moments notice could be deployed to well within 300 passangs in a few Ahns time . Attacks on the City will be met with the full force of the Cities resources and defenses. Entrance to the City is guarded Main Gate is closed at dusk Only Citizens have the knowledge of the rear Citizens gate which is hidden well and watched closely the Guards posted within it's entrance will not permit entrance unless proof of Citizenship can be provided. Guards are loyal to their Home Stone so bribery will not affect their honor and Duty. Foot patrols also cover the City streets and outside the City in the various villages within 25 passang of the City, Some of the larger Villages have Garrisons stationed there as an added security to them and the City itself those Garrisons number 50 men in each unit of each of the villages. City Defenses also consist of wall mounted Large balista At each tower 20 archers line the tops of each wall. The Main entrance to Fina is a series of two Gates one outer Double Wooden Gate ..the inner a steel portcullis.
